Being alive is a simple world. When intellectually understood it could have many significances leading to dialogues and debates, led by the intellect. When experienced .. there is only one.. the experience! no dialogue.

Meditative Approach part 3

2) Practice of observing your thoughts by Krishna Murti

Thoughts prevent us from seeing things as they are. To understand what is being said. One should know what thoughts are. Do not look up a defition of thought. Observe the thoughts. Come to understand the processes of thoughts. Not the content of thoughts but the nature of thoughts themselves. (meditation practices aim at developing skills so that you are able to observe thoughts).

On close attention and awareness one can perceive, that thoughts like things, manifest in the body, and the mind. Thoughts directly affect the nervous system and the quality of thoughts create your experience of life as pleasant or unpleasant. As joy or sorrow.

As the filed of thoughts reduce, the mind settles, awareness expands. Diving deeper and deeper until you experience the oneness; your true nature.
Our thoughts exist in the field of our consciousness. What is looking at these thoughts is consciousness itself

Give close attention to all that is happening within you, along with the actual activity of thoughts. Do not pay any prefential treatment to any thought in particular. Observe with no choice or criticisim, without acceptance or rejection of what is going on. Became intensely aware of the rising of falling of thoughts as you are simultaneously aware of the content of thoughts.

For example : Imagine I give you an interesting book but that it is missing pages and is very old . It would be like trying to read the book as you are intensely aware of trying to sort the order of content and aware of the quality of the book.

We are conditioned to live in our thoughts. When the con continuity of thought is broken, even for a split second, its hold on the body is broken and the body falls into its natural rhythm. Thought also falls into its natural place- then it can no longer interfere or influence the working of the human body. In the absence of any continuity the arising thoughts combust.KM

In its natural state, the senses of the body take on independent existences (uninfluenced my  thoughts) and the potential of the body  become reactivated,  restoring the “driver seat” back to the  pineal gland ( superficially located at the point between the eyebrows), as opposed to thought.
When man becomes aware of the movement of his own thoughts he will see the division between the thinker and thought, the observer and the observed, the experience and the experiencer. He will discover that this division is an illusion. Then only is there pure observation which is insight without any shadow of the past or of time. This timeless insight brings about a deep radical mutation in the mind. Krishnamurti.
