There are millions of ways to learn how to tune oneself . Many many forms of practices such as yoga, meditation, Chi qong, martial art disciplines, religious practices and in some cases even the medium of arts; dance and music all adhere to develop the individual so he may come to experience.
The failure of many to achieve this is not because of the shortfall in the methods. But the failure in the lack of discipline to practice and have faith. Often we wait for a critical event to unfold to shake our fabric. Sometimes such a shaking unravels to many threads..and the seems burst open. Instead if we rise now and take up a practice with discipline and faith, life would be such a magical journey.
Our lives are so busy, but we never stop and ask ourselves, what are we busy with ? Busy with work, busy with family, busy trying to make a dream come true. BUT WHERE IS ALL THIS HEADED? HOW IS IT GOING TO END?
A spiritual masters by the name of Maharaji often asks "What do you practice in your life?” for “Whatever you practice, you’re going to get good at. If you practice peace, you’re going to get very good at it. If you practice hatred, you're going to get good at it, and if you practice knowing yourself, you’re going to get very good at it. ”
What is "The Practice
Before we start, I would like you to sit comfortably, but with your back straight. Close your eyes and take 10 to 15 deep breaths , exhaling out slowly.
As you sit there I would like you to ask your self... "HOW DO I FEEL?" "HOW DO I REALLY FEEL?" (please try)
Is there a restlessness inside? As you struggle to hold up your knees, your back, your head. Does everything feels so uncomfortable?... what is behind the discomfort? A restlessness?. Is your mind constantly caught up in things you have to do? The calls, the bills and promises of thrills?
This is about stopping that restlessness.
So you can come to experience .. simply what happens when the restlessness stops.
The Practice is a blog and forum for seekers; the practitioner to guide each other to come to being in the now. ( please note I use the word "now" interchangeably. For I don't know what to really call it. Hence the constant invitation to experience it.
For a rose by another name is still ..... a rose.
